Mosvold Hotels luxury Beach Villas

This hotel only has a small number of rooms which helps... read more it create the perfect combination of a relaxed, intimate vibe with easy access to everything you could want - a perfect beach, surfing, bars and restaurants.

The rooms are incredibly spacious, clean and comfortable. You will sleep well here. You may get some noise from the road but it is minor and certainly didn't disturb my sleep or the chilled vibe. You will hear the waves of the ocean more than anything else. Being able to walk straight onto the beach from the hotel is a real positive.

What really sets Mosvold Villa apart is the hospitality of its staff who are all diligent and friendly. It makes the place feel like a home. Mr Dinesh works tirelessly to enhance the experience of all the guests. He made sure I had everything I needed and he was readily on hand to help arrange bookings, surfing lessons, transport and offer advice on places to visit and things to do.

Mr Dinshan served me during meal times and he was exceptional. He was polite and he was diligent in his service with a very keen eye for detail. Nothing was ever too much trouble and his focus was always on making guests feel at home and relaxed. He was always on hand to offer advice on which Sri Lankan dishes to try and he even arranged with the chef to make a special Sri Lankan meal on my last night which was delicious!

From the first contact with Mr Dinesh until... read more the moment of departure, everything went perfectly. The hotel is small and very intimate, it's like being at home. The rooms are very spacious, refined, clean and with all the amenities, with an incredible view over the beach. For our stay we have chosen half board and I can say that the Chef has always prepared the best food you will taste in Sri Lanka. For those who are surfers like us and want to enjoy the best spots, there is no better place. We appreciate all the care and attention given by Mr Dinesh, Shafraz and the entire team.   Mosvold Villa is a gorgeous property on the beaches down south in Sri Lanka. We booked the suite room which has its own little plunge / Jacuzzi pool in the... read more room’s private balcony which overlooks the hotel grounds and the ocean.

We were the only guests on the property since we travelled during the weekdays and there were no foreign travelers due to the pandemic. However, the staff service was on point! Shafraz at the front desk greeted us very warmly and ensured that we were very comfortable. Dinner and Breakfast were amazing and well worth the pricing. The dinner being A’la carte and served to our room as requested and Breakfast was served at the hotel grounds.

The beach is right in front of the property and almost feels like a private beach. You can walk a 100 meters to the right of the property and surf, swim or body board. The swimming pool at the property and the private plunge pool were also made very good use of by us

We went surfing everytime the waves were fine. The beach is directly in front of the Hotel. My two surf Instructors were extremely professional and became really good friends. The explanations were always very clear and in a good understanding way. When we couldn‘t train in the sea because of the waves we had a poolsession. There was always good fun.
The Hotel is very pretty. It is a small Boutique Hotel with only a few rooms. The rooms were very nice and clean. Everybody was very friendly and polite.
I can highly recomend the Kima Surfcamp in Ahnagama in Mosvold Villa for everyone. I would go back immediately if I could.
